Muon ("mew-on") is a part-Siamese, part-Tabby cat originally from Skokie, Illinois. She was brought to the Save-A-Pet shelter in Grayslake, Illinois sometime in late Sept., early Oct. 2000. Muon was 9 years old when I adopted her on October 28th.
(04/24/02) It's with sadness in my heart that I must report this to be the final update to this page. Muon was put to sleep around 6:00 pm on April 23rd, 2002. She had developed a mass in her intestional area. The doctor felt that surgery was possible but recovery was going to be long and difficult. I didn't want to see her in any more pain, so I elected to have her put to sleep. She went very quickly and I was with her the whole time. I will truly miss her. She was the perfect cat for me; she was exactly what I needed.
(03/19/01) UPDATE! Muon might actually be Tonkinese (or at least mostly Tonkinese). See http://cfainc.org/breeds/profiles/tonkinese.html for more info. Given her coloring and the striped tale it is believed that she is mostly Tonkinese. The shape of her head seems to indicate, however, that she's not a pure.
She's very very friendly, and already a wonderful companion. She also says: "Support your local animal shelters!"

In February, two gerbils (brothers) made their home in my apartment. Their names are "Mistadobalina" and "Harry Houdini" Mista is the brown gerbil and Harry is the black one. Of course, Muon has been enthralled with them :)
